What You Settle for

There`s so much more than what you settle for

There`s it`s knocking but you`re not opening the door

Happiness based on happenstance is what you seek,

Yet happiness, next to joy is insufficient and weak

Helpless

I feel helpless because you refuse to be helped

You cry out in pain, yet protest being helped

“I can’t help you,” I`m desperate to wail

Yet you`re turning to me with your mind so frail

Truth

I have spoken the truth many a times

I`ve held up the lantern and continued to shine

But I`ve come to realize what Jesus imported

When He told how birds stole seeds and departed seeds

Of Truth

Of Life

Oh, how I wish –

How I pray that you could stop being

Foolish

Stop throwing out life on the road

Where you`ll pass it by, then see it swallowed

“We`ll see what time will do,” you say

Have you not seen enough today?

That birds eat seeds and what is it…then?

It`s discarded, waste, refuse, even…

Refuse

You refuse to seek where help is found

You refuse to accept when truth is sound

You speak of when people aren`t enough

Yet you refuse to go to the source of

Love

There`s so much more than what you settle for

Hope and joy; Live waits behind, that door.

Don`t leave Him knocking, knocking ignored

He can help you, I give you my word.

Behind This Piece…

Sharing Is Caring
