A HANDFUL OF MARBLES

A prized bag of marbles
Each with unmeasured worth
And their unique marvels
Improve my time on earth

But comes some bumpy ground
And some may roll away
They leave me to be bound
In days of yesterday

My hands stretch out to grab
The ones I have in reach
But even as I nab
Those lost proceed to teach

A lesson on the past
Let go and move on, dear
Before those that last
Leave you in your fear

Yearning what could have been
At last I venture on
While I with care convene
Those precious few I’ve won

A handful of prized marbles
Each with unmeasured worth
And with loving garbles
Enrich my time on earth

Behind This Piece…

Sharing Is Caring
